Out and about this summer?
Make the most of it with your BSmart card – activities at leisure and youth centres, stitch and craft workshops, swimming for free, borrowing books and DVD’s, concessionary bus travel and more…..
Check out the activities at your local leisure centre, which you can pay for using your BSmart card. There’s Aqua Jets at Sharples and Turton, Gymnastics at Withins, and Multi Sports at Harper Green, Hayward, Kearsley, and Little Lever. Farnworth and Horwich offer a Rookie Lifeguard course, with Scuba Diving and Snokelling on the programme at Westhoughton. Other activities available include Skating at Kearsley, a wrestling camp at Harper Green and swimming courses at all centres with pools. If you are just starting swimming your BSmart card will entitle you to a free lesson. Check at the pools for details of course dates / times.
Bolton Arena offer day camps throughout the holidays (except August Bank Holiday Monday) offering cricket, football, basketball, swimming and bowling. Gymnastics and trampolining courses are also on offer, but advance booking for all activities is advised. Alternatively if you are feeling creative, Hab Fab at Astley Bridge are running a number of workshops including creative card and fascinator making.
If you are in and around Bolton town centre Bolton Lads and Girls Club, Bolton YMCA and Bolton Excel also have lots on for you and your friends to enjoy using your card. Bolton Indians (in Darcy Lever), Castlehill and Farnworth Youth Centres and Smithiills Sports Centre also offer events throughout the summer so make the most of your break from school.
Your BSmart card is also your library card. Why not check out the latest publications from your favourite authors at your local branch – or perhaps hire a DVD and pay for it using your card.
Live on an Arriva bus route? Show your BSmart card when you get on and if aged 15 or under, it will entitle you to travel at the concessionary fare to and from many of the venues offering activities.
