You will soon be able to sign up for a BSmart card at venues across Bolton including Connexions' town centre shop, access points, local libraries and some schools.
Enrolling is easy, just take your completed application form to an enrolment point where they will ask you for your password and take your picture. You will then get your card in the post a couple of weeks later.

Terms and conditions
- Any person aged 11 to 16 who lives or attends school in the borough can apply for a BSmart card.
- Membership of the scheme is free.
- Only one card will be issued per individual.
- The card is only for the use of the cardholder, it is not transferable.
- Applicants under 16, who are not enrolled in school, will need their application countersigned by a parent or guardian.
- The card has your photograph on it - your photograph will be taken by staff at the time of your application.
- The card is the responsibility of the cardholder, lost, stolen or damaged cards will be replaced on payment of applicable charge (contact the BSmart Helpline 01204 334123 for more information).
The card is not valid if altered or defaced in anyway. - In the event of the card being lost, the cardholder retains the responsibility for any money on the card.
- Bolton Council reserves the right to withdraw / amend the card. The card is the property of Bolton Council and must be returned upon request.
- The card can only be used according to the terms and conditions laid down by the individual services offered with the BSmart card.
- When using the card in conjunction with the smart card Discount Directory it must be presented immediately prior to a sale negotiation or purchase. Failure to do so may lead to a discount being refused.
- The Council will not be liable if: a) the card is not honoured by any participating merchant in the discount directory, b) for any subsequent withdrawal of the scheme or the card.
- Any changes to personal details, name, address, entitlements, must be notified to the BSmart Helpline: 01204 334123 immediately. Proof of new details will be required for update on card.
- All personal data collected and used to produce the card is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and will not be made available to third parties (i.e. parties not part of the scheme) without your permission, unless in the interest of the detection of fraud or the detection of other illegal purposes.
* Existing library cards will still be accepted. These will be replaced by the BSmart card when they expire.
